Position Trust Relationship Support Specialist 

Private Banking / Trust

Compensation $45,000 to $65,000
Location New York, NY  - Midtown Manhattan
Summary Provide support to the Trust Officers in the servicing and operational maintenance of trust and estate accounts/portfolios and ensure compliance with Company policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality service to account customers and beneficiaries in responding to written and telephone inquiries.
  • Receive investment instructions from customers and/or investment advisors and requests for discretionary distributions from beneficiaries and prepare appropriate documentation. 
  • Follow through on ticket processing and send and receive wire transfers.  Research and respond to customer requests and problems.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation for each payment, ensuring completeness and appropriate customer, co-fiduciary, officer and/or committee approvals.  Calculate dollar amounts and prepare periodic principal and income payments based on client instruction and/or appropriate fiduciary accounting principals. 
  • Maintain appropriate records of activity.  Contact customers to resolve documentation exceptions.  Assist in processing deposits and distributions and handle investigations.  Assist officers in account openings and closings.
  •  Monitor portfolio of accounts, notify officers and customers of outstanding balances and anticipated cash needed for possible investment and cash requirements for asset purchases, distributions and expense payments; reconcile account cash balances and prepare account status reports. 
  • Expanding account relationships through awareness of other Company products and services.
  • Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls with regard to regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events. 
Required Skills
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of proven relationship support experience or equivalent.
  • Minimum of Associates degree in business.  Paralegal training or related field or equivalent experience. Computer literacy.
  • Proven mathematical aptitude and communications and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to deal with customers in a professional manner and handle on-going accounts.
